Team Honda Week of Service to Conduct Record Number of Community Service Projects Across North America

Over 20,000 Volunteers to Participate in 550 Activities in 48 States, Canada and Mexico

More than 20,000 volunteers across North America from Honda, its dealers and suppliers are participating in the third annual Team Honda Week of Service, conducting nearly 550 volunteer service activities in 48 states, as well as Canada and Mexico. The Team Honda Week of Service is timed to coincide with the American Honda Motor Co., Inc. Founder's Day, marking the establishment of the first Honda business operation in North America, on June 11, 1959.

"By working together with our suppliers and dealers, Honda associates are making a difference in the communities where we live and work," said Rick Schostek, executive vice president, Honda North America, Inc. "Honda is proud of all of our volunteers, some 20,000 strong, who are giving their time to make a positive impact in the communities we all call home."

Of the service projects taking place during the Team Honda Week of Service, Honda companies will perform 102, 226 are dealer projects and 131 are supplier-led projects.

The 10-day Week of Service began this morning with a virtual kick-off at noon (EST), when many of the participating volunteers posted to social media using the hashtag #TeamHondaCares. For updates and reactions to the Team Honda Week of Service activities, more information is available online at:

Since its inception in 2016, the community impact from the Team Honda Week of Service has included: more than 11,000 health kits collected and donated; 2,500 children provided school supplies; nearly 1,300 pints of blood donated; 75 homes painted/refurbished, more than 54 tons of food collected and more than 200,000 meals served.
