Glinsk GAA Club have been chosen to compete in the New York Festival of Football.

A local GAA club are set to travel to America to play ladies football.

Glinsk Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others have been selected to take part in the New York Festival of Football and a 5km run through Central Park this October.

They are one of 30 teams to have been selected from over 300 entries.

The club are walking 5,000km – that is the distance from Glinsk to New York – with a big goal: to raise €1 for every kilometre.

They are raising funds for their once-in-a-lifetime trip and are asking for support to help them fundraise and make this incredible journey a reality.

It all kicks off with a 24-Hour Walking Challenge at the Glinsk GAA Grounds, starting at 12 noon on Friday, April 18th.
