BMW is all set to launch a facelifted 2 Series Gran Coupe in India soon. According to a recent Autocar India report, the updated version of the entry-level sedan from the Bavarian automaker will make it to India by the middle of 2025. With sportier intent and revised dynamics, the updated 2 Series Gran Coupe gets more features than its predecessor.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe: Updated Exteriors
The 2025 BMW 2 Series gets plenty of subtle yet noticeable styling changes. For starters, the nose is smaller and sportier thanks to a redesigned blacked-out grille panel which draws inspiration from the BMW M range. The reprofiled kidney grille is flanked by sleeker LED headlamps with revised internals. The side profile remains unchanged with a coupe-like roofline and a short tail section but the car gets bigger wheel arches to accommodate wider and taller wheels.
At the rear, the windshield flows into the boot seamlessly. Speaking of the boot, the updated 2 Series comes with a boot capacity of 430 litres, however, it comes without a spacesaver spare wheel. Furthermore, the headlights are more angular now.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe: Features
Inside the cabin, the facelifted 2 Series Gran Coupe comes with a curved touchscreen infotainment system running BMW’s latest OS9 software. The cabin has been revamped based on BMW’s latest design language which now gets a vegan upholstery. The latest iteration of 2 Series Grand Coupe comes kitted with all goodies including a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, wireless charging, etc.

BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe: Improved Dynamics
Unlike the M2 and the 2 Series Coupé, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is built on a front-wheel-drive platform. In the updated version, the German marque has stiffened the chassis, using new multi-valve dampers. This has helped increase the rigidity of the chassis, thus offering a more engaging experience from behind the steering wheel.
Additionally, the caster offset of the front wheels has been increased to enhance stability, while at the rear, the anti-roll bar is now pre-loaded to activate its stabilizing effect sooner.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe: New heart
The facelifted BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe will draw power from a downsized engine. Under the hood, it will get a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder mild-hybrid petrol engine, which dishes out 168 bhp and 280 Nm of peak torque. This is marginally lower than its predecessor. The electric motor produces 20 horses (included in the 168 bhp) and gives the 2 Series Gran Coupe a slight boost when required.

In terms of performance, the 2 Series Gran Coupe can sprint to 100 kmph from a standstill in 7.9 seconds. The second engine option will be the 2.0-litre diesel that makes 161 BHP and 400 Nm.
